My 20 Year Trip to PEBBLE BEACH...

Yep. It's taken me 20 years to get here. I wrote in my GOALS journal in 1988, "Play Pebble Beach." That was the beginning of the journey toward today. The Monterey Peninsula, 17-mile drive, Cypress Point, and some of the most breath-taking scenery I've ever witnessed. It was worth the trip!

Today I played the famous and historic Pebble Beach golf links (yep that's me doing my best Jack Nicklaus impersonation overlooking 18...what a stunning view).

Live and in person, just 3 days removed from the AT&T PGA tournament being here for the "big show." The winds blew, the surf pounded the cliffs and rocks all along the shoreline, the sun shone, and the scores went due north (at least for me), but as I walked those 18 holes with my caddie Johnny Mac (thanks John) I was in awe for most of the day thinking about how big LIFE can really be if we'll just let it.
I love what one of my coaches says about his WORK...Tim says "MY WORK" is what I do to fund and facilitate how I can enjoy my LIFE! Family, recreation, freedom, etc.

In my book The 10 Commitments I wrote "Life is BIGGER than WORK." Today I more fully understand the meaning of those words. Make this the year that YOU add something BIG to your life. It might meaning changing something about your work...but trust me when I say the PERSONAL PROFITS are so worth it.
