History Lessons From Boston

Hello Boston! After breakfast near Longfellow's historic retreat we take the train into Boston and climb off just outside another historic landmark...Fenway Park! There's a game tonight but I'll be working then so we decide on the next best thing, a tour of the old ballpark. This town is filled with history and while it's important to know what went on here (or most anywhere) once upon a time, it's also important to plan and take action for what's happening NOW! And what's happening next in our lives and our work. I know the Red Sox goal for this season, what's YOURS? Most people give very little thought to their plans or projects, goals or strategies, settling instead for just going off to work again today. Next time you step on the the train...have some idea where you want to go. If you'd like a bit of help in setting some of your goals get a copy of my E book on UNCOMMON GOALS by dropping me an email to Leader@MichaelYork.com

Halftime 2007...

If 2007 were a game (football, basketball, etc.) this is where the coach would make the stirring half-time speech and we'd all charge out onto the playing field of the marketplace and do something historic or remarkable and win the game! (See Rocky, Rudy, or some other inspirational can-do story and you'll get the idea)

So how was your first half? Are you winning? Ahead or behind? Where you planned or thought or hoped or wished you'd be? The good news is the game of 2007 may be flying by, but it's not over.
I'm looking down the road at some of my trips and events and projects and processing information I didn't have when this game began, so that when the gun sounds there's some measure of evidence that says "I win!"
And HOW to win may be different for you than for me, but one thing's for sure...the first half of 2007 is done. And the clock is ticking on this competition of getting the most from life and work.
Stay sharp! And commit to winning.
