Music City BIG Show...

Just back from Nashville, Tennessee...Music City USA, and mastering the ceremonies for the National Independent Auto Dealers Association (again). This is a cool event that gets bigger every year. It's like the Academy Awards for Auto Dealers. A host of state quality dealers who have amassed impressive credentials for any business are judged by a panel from Northwood University and ultimately a single dealer is named the NATIONAL Quality Dealer for the year.

Notre Dame: Winning in the NOW Economy

Dateline: South Bend, Indiana
More specifically, the campus of the University of Notre Dame, is where I'm staying for the next couple days preparing for my closing keynote on Saturday night for the Big 10 Credit Union Conference. Right...Notre Dame is NOT in the Big Ten (though they tried many times in years past to join) but this is more about business and networking than it is about conference inclusion. Getting to spend time with these leaders on this amazing campus confirms what I speak and write about all over the country...The money is out there and THE ECONOMY IS GREAT! Unless you (and/or your work) are boring and ordinary.

There is very little here that could be called boring or ordinary. There are plaques everywhere thanking alums and donors for contributions from simple benches to ornate buildings to championship golf courses to state-of-the-art facilities for the students who attend and will no doubt one day become one of those donors themselves.
Notre Dame is a great example of the NOW Economy and how to provide remarkable value, build an amazing brand, and make tradition part of the selling process. Big Thanks to my most hospitable hosts at Notre Dame Federal Credit Union; Deidre, Leo, and special thanks to Cigar Rick!
