My Winter Escape

Ahhhh...sunshine. I escape my home city with freezing rain and 29 degrees and a short flight later I'm here in Tampa Bay with sunshine and the mercury dipping below 80.
A leadership pm event the first night, and the next morning early I speak to a group of business leaders at the ultra-cool St. Petersburg Times Forum arena (home ice for the Tampa Bay Lightning). Friday night I attend an "UNCOMMON CLASS" reception in my honor with a collection of my uncommon students and friends old and new at a stunning waterfront home (Thanks Mary). A boat-ride on a lake watching a world champion skier (Thanks Anita) and driving my convertible Crossfire rental car (top down? you bet!) on to Orlando for a dinner and client meetings. I love getting to do summer stuff in the winter. Sunny and warm is definitely "cool" in January.

How are you enjoying your work and mixing some fun and "life stuff" into your business? Like to see a clip of the fun we had at the Forum?
Here's the link...(compliments of Frank & Vera)

Happy OLD Year?

Anyone wishing you Happy OLD Year lately?
How about "Happy Same Year?"
What's so happy about that?

Not much for most, but that's what the majority will be looking at for another 12 months. Same old same old coming around again. Is it REALLY a NEW year or just more of the same for you, your work, your life, your finances, your success?
If anything about this coming year is going to truly be NEW then it has to begin IN YOU!
What are you doing, planning, becoming, or preparing for that will bring NEW results?

Happy New Year has become a common (boring?) phrase that many people can't even deliver with a smile anymore. They manage to squeeze out the words almost like "OK, there I said it. I don't believe it but I'll say it anyway." New year, same old you.

What if...in this new year you resolved to make some changes?
What if you were to hang out with a new crowd?
Make a new determination and create a new expectation?
Where could NEW really take you this year?
What if you went beyond the familiar into a new adventure in learning or leading or selling or BECOMING?
Do something NEW.
The marketplace will notice and pay you well for it.
